Service Technician- MFD

Location: Rochester, NY

COMPENSATION:

$20 – $21/hr

POSITION SUMMARY:

As Service Technician you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and service of MFD equipment and finishing devices.  This includes, but is not limited to; Desktop printers, office copiers and production level copiers.  This job is primarily customer facing at businesses in the surrounding areas. This position is customer service focused with strong electro-mechanical and PC skills.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Local travel to customers location to install, service and maintain customer equipment.
  • Provide operator training.
  • Perform phone support.
  • Complete paperwork.
  • Manage and maintain a personal spare parts inventory.
  • Become trained /certified on new products as they are introduced.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair Konica Minolta line of products.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ADVANCED TECHNICIAN ROLES, EXPERIENCE AREAS INCLUDES:

 

  • Advanced knowledge of servicing and repairing Konica Minolta line of products.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Reliable transportation.
  • Good driving record / Current valid Real ID Driver’s License.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Must have strong electro-mechanical skills.
  • Must have good PC skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Adaptable and flexible.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and make effective decisions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
  • This position is primarily in the field at customer sites.
  • Standard and specialized office equipment is used – such as computers, phones, multifunctional devices, mail machines, folder inserters, printers, sorters, etc.
  • This is mainly an active position that requires ability to be on fee for 5-7 hours a day.
  • This position requires lifting (up to 75lbs).
  • Filing, bending, standing, reaching with hands/arms, using tools, etc. as necessary.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to speak and hear.

TRAVEL:
• This position requires local travel with occasional out of state training travel that lasts between 3 to 5 days on average.
